The Act on Consumer Contract Terms of 1971 provides means

parties. The Act establishes a system of preventive control over unfair contract
terms. The relevant Section of the Act is annexed to this paper.
The   adjudicates cases on unfairness in consumer contracts, while the
Consumer Ombudsman has the role of public watchdog with regard to the market-place,
negotiator and, in cases-where voluntary solutions are not reached, as “prosecutor” before the
Market Court, seeking an order restraining traders from using such unfair terms in the future.
So far the Market Court has judged some 50 cases involving about 130 different clauses. The
following three types of terms have frequently been determined to be unfair:
shift considerably t  under the Sale of
Goods Act of 1905 or other non-mandatory law in favour of the trader;
      rules on, e.g., consumer
sales, consumer services or consumer credit;
