Aviso Por ordem superior se faz público que, por troca de notas de 20 de Agosto de 1979, foi concluído um Acordo de Supressão de Vistos entre o Governo Português e o Governo da República da Coreia, cujo texto em inglês e respectiva tradução em português são publicados em seguida.

Lisbon, August 20, 1979 Excellency, I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your Excellency's note of today's date, which reads as follows: I have the honour to inform you that, with a view to facilitating travel between their respective territories, the Government of the Republic of Korea is prepared to conclude with the Portuguese Government a visa-waiver agreement in the following terms: 1 - Korean nationals holding a valid national passport shall be free to travel to Portugal without the necessity of obtaining an entry visa in advance provided their intended stay does not exceed sixty days and is not for employment.

2 - Portuguese nationals holding a valid national passport issued in Portugal or by a Portuguese consulate shall be free to travel to the Republic of Korea without the necessity of obtaining an entry visa in advance provided their intended stay does not exceed sixty days and is not for employment.

3 - Exemption from the visa requirements shall likewise apply to Korean nationals, in possession of seamen's books and of embarkation or disembarkation orders from the competent authorities, arriving from any country and proceeding through Portugal by land, air or sea, either in order to reach their port of embarkation or to return to the Republic of Korea, and also to Portuguese nationals, in possession of seamen's books and of embarkation or disembarkation orders from the competent authorities, arriving from any country and proceeding through the Republic of Korea by land, air or sea, either in order to reach their port of embarkation or to return to Portugal.

The length of stay of Korean seamen in Portugal and Portuguese seamen in the Republic of Korea as provided for above shall be limited to fifteen days.

4 - Korean nationals who intend to stay in Portugal longer than sixty days, or wish to take up employment there, are required to obtain an entry visa in advance from a diplomatic mission or consular post of Portugal.
