Aviso n.º 16/2018
Por ordem superior se torna público que, por notificação de 21 de outubro de 2016, o Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros do Reino dos Países Baixos, notificou ter a Austrália comunicado a sua autoridade à Convenção Relativa à Supressão da Exigência da Legalização dos Atos Públicos Estrangeiros, adotada na Haia, a 5 de outubro de 1961.

O Secretário do Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Commonwealth of Australia (Departamento dos Negócios Estrangeiros e do Comércio da Comunidade da Austrália)
A partir do dia 1 de julho de 2015, as Embaixadas, os Altos Comissariados e os Consulados australianos (à exceção dos Consulados dirigidos por um Cônsul Honorário) poderão emitir certificados de Apostila sobre documentos públicos originais australianos.
Na Austrália, as Apostilas são emitidas pelo Australian Passaport Office (Gabinete Australiano de Passaportes) situado nas cidades capitais.
A República Portuguesa é Parte na mesma Convenção, a qual foi aprovada para ratificação pelo Decreto-Lei n.º 48 450, publicado no Diário do Governo n.º 148, 1.ª série, de 24 de junho de 1968, e ratificada a 6 de dezembro de 1968, conforme o Aviso publicado no Diário do Governo n.º 50, 1.ª série, de 28 de fevereiro de 1969.
A Convenção entrou em vigor para a República Portuguesa a 4 de fevereiro de 1969, de acordo com o publicado no Diário do Governo n.º 50, 1.ª série, de 28 de fevereiro de 1969.
A emissão de apostilas ou a sua verificação, previstas, respetivamente nos artigos 3.º e 7.º da Convenção, competem ao Procurador-Geral da República, nos termos do n.º 1 do artigo 2.º do Decreto-Lei n.º 86/2009, de 3 de abril, podendo tais competências ser delegadas nos Procuradores-Gerais Distritais do Porto, Coimbra e Évora e nos Procuradores-Gerais Adjuntos colocados junto dos Representantes da República para as...
