Aviso n.º 124/2000 Por ordem superior se torna público que, por nota de 30 de Setembro de 1999 e nos termos do Estatuto da Conferência da Haia de Direito Internacional Privado, concluído na Haia em 31 de Outubro de 1951, o Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros do Reino dos Países Baixos notificou o seguinte: Por nota de 13 de Agosto de 1999, a Embaixada de Portugal transmitiu uma declaração do representante do Governo de Portugal relativa à participação dos representantes de Macau integrados na delegação portuguesa nas reuniões da Conferência da Haia de Direito Internacional Privado até 19 de Dezembro de 1999.
Por nota de 18 de Agosto de 1999, o embaixador da República Popular da China transmitiu uma declaração do seu Governo datada de 14 de Julho de 1999, referente à aplicação do mencionado Estatuto à Região Administrativa Especial de Macau a partir de 20 de Dezembro de 1999.
'Declaration by the Representative of the Government of the Portuguese Republic: Whereas the Portuguese Republic is responsible for the external relations of Macau, I was instructed by my Government to declare that the representatives of Macau, territory where the Statute of the Hague Conference on Private International Law is in force, have been participating in the meetings of the Conference integrated in the Portuguese Delegation.
I was further instructed to declare that, in conformity with the Joint Declaration of the Government of the Portuguese Republic and of the Government of the Peoples' Republic of China on the Question of Macau, signed in Beijing on the 13th of April 1987, the Portuguese Republic will remain, until 19 December 1999, responsible for the external relations of Macau. Until that date, Macau will continue to participate in the meetings of the Hague Conference on Private International Law integrated in the Portuguese Delegation. From 20 December 1999 on the Peoples' Republic of China will resume the exercice of sovereignty overMacau.' Tradução Declaração pelo representante do Governo da República Portuguesa: Considerando que a República Portuguesa é responsável pelas relações externas de Macau, fui instruído pelo meu Governo para declarar que os representantes de Macau, território onde o Estatuto da Conferência da Haia de Direito Internacional Privado se encontra em vigor, têm vindo a participar nas reuniões da Conferência integrados na delegação portuguesa.
