Aviso n. 174/2008

Por ordem superior se torna público ter o Governo dos Emiratos Árabes Unidos efectuado, junto do Secretário-Geral das Naçóes Unidas, em 23 de Setembro de 2005, a sua adesáo à Convençáo Internacional para a Eliminaçáo do Financiamento do Terrorismo.

Notificaçáo

The Secretary -General of the United Nations, acting in his capacity as depositary, communicates the following:

The above action was effected on 23 September 2005, with:

[...] subject to a reservation with respect to article 24, paragraph 1, thereof, in consequence of which the United Arab Emirates does not consider itself bound by that paragraph, which relates to arbitration.

The Convention will enter into force for the United Arab Emirates on 23 October 2005 in accordance with its article 26 (2) which reads as follows:

For each State ratifying, accepting, approving or acceding to the Convention after the deposit of the twenty -second instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession, the Convention shall enter into force on the thirtieth day after deposit by such State of its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession.

O Secretário -Geral da Organizaçáo das Naçóes Unidas, agindo na sua qualidade de depositário, comunica o seguinte:

A comunicaçáo acima referida foi efectuada a 23 de Setembro de 2005, com:

[...] com a reserva de que os Emiratos Árabes Unidos náo se consideram vinculados pelo n. 1 do artigo 24. da Convençáo, relativo à arbitragem.
