Por ordem superior se torna público ter o Reino Unido da Grá-Bretanha e da Irlanda do Norte formulado junto do Secretário-Geral do Conselho da Europa, em 28 de Fevereiro de 2005, uma alteraçáo de uma declaraçáo à Convençáo de Auxílio Judiciário Mútuo em Matéria Penal, aberta à assinatura em Estrasburgo em 20 de Abril de 1959:

As of 1 April 2005, the Government of the United Kingdom will no longer deem the Solicitor of Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and any person within the Solicitor's Office authorised by him or the Commissioners of the Inland Revenue to be judicial authorities for the purposes of the Convention. The Government of the United Kingdom wishes to replace the aforementioned authorities with the Director of the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office and anyone within that Office authorised by him. The declaration made under article 24 of the Convention should read as follows with effect from 1 Abril 2005:

'In accordance with article 24 for the purposes of the Convention, the Government of the United Kingdom deems the following to be judicial authorities:

Magistrates' Courts, the Crown Court and the High Court;

The Attorney General for England and Wales; The Director of Public Prosecutions and any Crown Prosecutor;

The Director and any designated member of the Serious Fraud Office;

The Secretary of State for the Trade and Industry in respect of his functions of investigating and prosecuting offences;

The Director of the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office and anyone within that Office authorised by him;

District Courts and Sheriff Courts and the High Court of Justiciary;

The Lord Advocate;

Any Procurator Fiscal; The Attorney General for Northern Ireland; The Director of Public Prosecutions in Northern Ireland;

The Financial Services Authority.'

Traduçáo da declaraçáo

A partir de 1 de Abril de 2005, o Governo do Reino Unido deixará de considerar o Solicitor of Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and any persons within the Solicitor's Office authorised by him, bem como os Commissioners of the Inland Revenue como autoridades judiciárias para efeitos da presente Convençáo. O Governo do Reino Unido deseja substituir as autoridades acima referidas pelo Director of the Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office and...
