Aviso n.º 179/2000 Por ordem superior se torna público que a República de Malta apresentou as seguintes Declarações à Convenção Quadro Europeia para a Cooperação Transfronteira entre as Comunidades ou Autoridades Territoriais, aberta à assinatura em Madrid, a 21 de Maio de 1980: 'Declarations contained in a Note Verbale handed to the Secretary General at the time of signature, on 7 May 1999 - Original English.

The Republic of Malta declares that: 1 - In accordance with paragraph 2 of article 2 of the Convention, the scope of this Convention shall be confined to any local Councils established by Statute.

2 - In accordance with paragraph 2 of article 3, the Maltese Government declares that the application of the Convention shall be subject to the conclusion of inter-state agreements.

3 - The authority competent to exercise control or supervision under the terms of paragraph 5 of article 3 of the Convention shall be: The Local Councils Department, Chateau de la Ville, 21, Archbishop Street, Valletta Street, Valletta CMR 02, Malta.'
