Por ordem superior se torna público que, por notificação de 28 de março de 2014, o Secretário-Geral do Conselho da Europa informou ter a República da Hungria comunicado, a 14 de março de 2014, a renovação de uma reserva feita à Convenção Penal sobre Corrupção, aberta à assinatura em Estrasburgo, a 27 de janeiro de 1999.

Renewal of reservation contained in a Note verbale from the Permanent Representation of Hungary, dated 14 March 2014, registered at the Secretariat General on 14 March 2014 - Or. Engl.
In accordance with Article 38, paragraph 2, of the Convention, Hungary declares that it wishes to uphold the reservation made in accordance with Article 37, paragraph 1, of the Convention as long as necessary in view of enacting the required legislative amendment, which is likely to be adopted and promulgated in the course of the next year. With regard to the expected legislative amendment, the Hungarian authorities would be pleased to notify the Secretary General of the withdrawal of the reservation in due course.

The reservation reads as follows:
"In accordance with Article 37, paragraph 1, of the Convention, Hungary reserves the right not to establish as criminal offences the conduct referred to in Article 8 and committed by foreign citizens in the course of business activities abroad."
